Investing in the People Behind the Technology

Access to technology and building capacity must go hand in hand.

That is why, in August 2026, EmpoComm Gh invested in the capacity of our own team through an intensive one-month, hands-on training programme in STEAM and Robotics, in collaboration with our local partners Xonovate Code Champions.

The training was designed to equip our team with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed to introduce children to new ways of learning through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), coding and robotics.

This investment is an important next step in our journey.

We don't want to simply bring equipment into schools. We want to build the human capacity to use that equipment effectively, inspire children and support educators in creating more practical and engaging learning experiences.

From the Mobile Computer Lab to STEAM & Robotics Clubs

The next chapter is already taking shape.

Following the training, we are preparing to launch STEAM & Robotics Clubs in local community schools, starting this new academic year September 2026.

Through these clubs, pupils will have opportunities to learn by doing — experimenting, building, coding, designing, solving problems and working together.

Our ambition is to nurture curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills while giving children an early introduction to the technologies and skills that will shape their future.

Because we believe children should not only be prepared to use the technology of tomorrow.

They should be empowered to create with it.

But we cannot do this alone

Our journey from five schools and 650+ students using 40 laptops is only the beginning.

We want to reach more schools, more children and more communities. To do this, we need partners who share our belief that every child deserves an opportunity to learn, experiment and participate in the digital future.
